Nothing catching. Good idea but amazingly baren implementation. Nothing glorious about this game and there is a distinct lack of holes. 2/10

Thank for playing and commenting!

Due to the feedback I have changed this game to be more active and less of an idler.  Base Catch time is reduced to be between 5 โ†’ 25 seconds and various numbers have been tweaked to balance this new reality.

Game is slow as fishing...

5-6 minutes to catch anything for pretty much most of the game and at the very late it's 1-3 minutes on average and than the upgrades and progress end. Any game completed screen is missing, upgrades just stop working on last one.

There is nothing `Idle` about this game besides player being idle waiting for "Catch" button. No automation for fish catching for whole game.

Hello, thanks for playing and commenting. I have fixed the final upgrades, thanks for pointing this out (Index count issue).

Due to feedback like yours I have changed the  game to be a more active one with less wait times. Base Catch time is now 5 โ†’ 25 seconds and the game has been reworked to balance this.

I would love feed back of its current state so I can further balance the scaling before adding in 10 more levels of rods/lure/fish. How long does it take an average person to get to the leviathan?

It's definitely better than waiting for 6 min. But the economy still need much polish. The boosters as of now make no sense. The most optimal play is to just stack them all at the beginning.

I finished the game now in under ~25 minutes (~5 x Honey Hole boosters). All upgrades.

What I would do:

- Add ~5 more fish type

- Split fishes to areas eg. 3 areas: first area 5 fishes, second area 4 unique fishes and 2 previous, third area 6 unique fishes and 3 previous.

- rebalance economy eg: Fishing rod change percentage for certain fish type, Lures change catch time, catch time would be different per area, boosters would be different per area and would work only on fishes from this area and would have stable price.

- areas would be unlocked by either level (lb)

That just my suggestion.

Also worth considering is some catching (Reel) mechanic and economy for it.

And as of now this is still not idle game. I play mainly Idle games. So wish you luck. Don't ask me again to play non idle game. Cheers.

Thanks again for the time and review!

Your words gave me inspiration to make a true Idle fishing game with minimal input needed, different locations, weather effects, and time of days with current quests. No more casting and reeling just watch the fish come in! Location, rod, and lure can be changed for different bonuses.

I guess something is wrong, because I launched the game, throw the line, and its been 10 minutes.

Hello Redis! Thanks for not only playing, but commenting.

Normal catch timer should be from 10 seconds โ†’ 6 minutes.
If you are experiencing longer than 6 minutes please confirm with me.

This is intended to be an Idle game to be played in the background while you do other things. You will hear the sound notification indicating you have caught a fish so you can tab back in to catch.

If you want to experience the gameplay loop you can enable the dev console and turn on 'quick catch' by clicking 8 times on the 'vault' then another 8 times on the 'shop' without clicking elsewhere. ( I am debating making a none-idle version that is faster pace)

Oh, then I am going back to it right away.

But then it would be nice to have a kind of timer to it, or at least explain at the beginning that it can take a while, because I was really confused and left thinking the game was broken

Due to feedback like this Iv adjusted the game to be more active with less wait times. Base Catch time is now 5 โ†’ 25 seconds and the games been reworked to balance this.
